Welcome back!

The club is excited about returning to play beginning September 11!

Seattle Youth Soccer Association and its constituent clubs take the health of our players and volunteers extremely seriously. As we begin to move back toward normal, precautions remain in place to protect all participants. Most particularly, SYSA and Mt. Baker-Lakewood require that all players in unvaccinated age groups (U12 and below) wear a suitable face covering during practices and games for the 2021 fall season and the City Tournament, whether actively playing or not. Players in vaccine-eligible age groups (U13 and older) are permitted to remove their face coverings while actively playing or practicing, but are strongly recommended to wear face coverings when not actively playing or practicing.

Guidelines for players

  • No gum

  • If you have signs or symptoms suggestive of COVID-19, you should not attend any practice or game.

  • Do not enter the field area until previous teams have left the field (entry and exit points will be marked).

  • Wait until prior game’s teams have vacated the bench area before entering.

  • Soccer bags should be placed at least 6 feet apart from one another.

  • Use hand sanitizer before and after the game.

  • Do not cluster with your teammates.

  • No handshakes or fist bumps during or after the game.

Guidelines for parents, guardians, and spectators

  • Spectators must wear masks at all times in the U6-U12 age groups.

  • Drop player off no earlier than 20 minutes prior to kickoff.

  • No parent, guardian, caregiver, or player that is sick or has signs or symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 should attend any practice or game.

  • Spectators should remain socially distanced as much as possible.
