Mt. Baker / Lakewood Soccer Club

Fall Soccer Information

The primary season for soccer played at the Mt. Baker / Lakewood Soccer Club is Fall.  Spring Soccer is organized directly through the Seattle Youth Soccer Association (see SYSA Spring Soccer).

The Fall season usually starts in early September (with the start of the Seattle Public Schools schoolyear) and runs for several weeks until mid-November.  Most teams practice twice weekly during the season but actual practice schedules are determined by the team coach.

Registration

2010 Fall Soccer online registration     is between May 6, 2010 and June 21, 2010.  All participants (coaches, team managers, and players) need to register online through this web site.  Starting June 22 you can still register, but a $15 late fee is added and returning players may lose their place.

You can click this  link or click on Registration on the left to start the registration process.

Please sign up as soon as possible.  Teams cannot be scheduled if they do not have enough players.  Early sign-up ensures that as many kids as possible will get to play soccer.

The 2010 - 2011 Soccer Age Chart  might be helpful in determining which age group your child will play in.

All returning players should use their existing account using their login information.  If you do not remember your login information, please do not create a new account.  The web site allows you to request having your user name and password to be sent to you via email.

Fees

For Fall Soccer 2010, the following player fees apply:

U6 -  $60 Includes a club t-shirt, group sessions on Monday and Wednesday  September - October.

U7 through U9 - $75 Includes a club t-shirt, team assignment and scheduled games on Saturdays, one team practice a week and one skill development session with International Soccer School instructors a week

U10 through U18 - $75 plus $30 for uniform (total of $105)  Uniforms can be re used from season to season.

Multi-player discounts are available for families with more than one registered player.  The discount is $15 for each player starting with the second player (e.g. first player = full fee, second player receives discount).

Payment

Payment for fees is online by credit card or debit card only.  Payment by check is possible but discouraged because it creates extra work for the club volunteers.  An extra $10 will be charged when paying by check.  A late fee of $15 will be assessed for players registering after June 21st, 2010.

If you find you cannot participate after registering, email the club  with the players name and a refund will be issued.  Payments made by credit / debit card will have the transaction refunded.  Payments by check will be  refunded after the payment check clears.  No refunds will be issued after September 13th, 2010.

Scholarships

It is the club's goal to provide access to soccer to all children in the community.  We provide full scholarships on request.  To request a scholarship during online registration, select payment by check, click the request fee waiver box,  and type in "scholarship request" in the comment section.  Scholarships are intended for families on the free or reduced fee lunch program at public school.  We are encouraging families receiving a scholarship to make a minimum $10 payment toward the cost of registration.
